Despite showing interest in coming back, he has yet to receive a date for his next fight. This delay has raised many questions about the superstar losing his Midas touch. UFC 264 was the last time ‘Mystic Mac’ featured in a competitive fight in the UFC. He faced Dustin Poirier for the third time in his career. The encounter turned out to be a nightmare for the 35-year-old as he faced a serious leg injury. The injury kept him out of action for a considerable amount of time. However, the Dubliner is ready to make a return but is yet to receive any date from UFC CEO Dana White. While many believe that McGregor is way past his prime and doesn’t hold the same importance as before, his striking coach doesn’t agree.

In a recent Instagram post shared by MMA Uncensored, he shared his opinion and wrote, ” It doesn’t matter who Conor Fights. As long as Conor’s in the cage fighting somebody. It’s gonna bring the numbers. It’s gonna bring the excitement, and it’s gonna bring the fan’s again.”

McGregor undoubtedly can bring in fans, however, he needs to get a date for his fight next. He has been vocal about facing Michael Chandler in his return, as the pair has a bit of history among them. Known for his ability to play mind games, McGregor took the opportunity to warn Chandler about the outcome of their probable fight in a recent interview.

Despite staying out of action, ‘Mystic Mac’ always finds a way of staying in the news. This time around the 35-year-old is in the news for his prediction about his next fight. McGregor has called out Michael Chandler as his next opponent on his comeback. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to reveal the news. Since then, the pair have been going against each other on social media. ‘Iron’ recently made an appearance on WWE Raw and called out McGregor by stating, “Get your candy a** back in the Octagon”. He even claimed to have some “unfinished business” with the superstar.

McGregor has finally responded to the claim and given his prediction for his possible fight. In a recent interview with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi he said, “Now, look see this, its Chandler, you got to shut up Michael you f**kin imbecile. The man doesn’t shut up. I seen him on Raw and all, I like Mike, I’m gonna bust him up, I’m gonna bust Mike up. If I say it, I do it.
