The Sphere in Las Vegas has caused quite a stir since its inception in September 2023. The $2.3 Billion-worth structure has Dana White telling people how magnificent it is and also revealing his plans to host a UFC event there. Recently, the CEO revealed the real reason why he wants to host a UFC event at the Sphere during Mexican Independence Day.

The Sphere is located in the Venetian Resort. It was previously called the MSG Sphere and has been designed by Populous. Irish rock band ‘U2‘ became the first musical group to perform in the billion-dollar structure. Moreover, Dana White’s love for the Sphere took shape after he went to see the rock band’s performance late last year. But now he has plans to host an event there.

The 54-year-old MMA promoter seems to have nothing but praise for the Sphere during a recent appearance on ‘Pat McAfee Show‘. He has urged people to visit the venue whenever they come to Las Vegas. Furthermore, Dana White revealed that what he was planning to do at the Sphere was going to be something far better than the Irish rock band ‘U2’ did last year. He said, “Anybody who comes in town, you have to go to the Sphere… I went and saw the U2 show… they’re using this much [on a small capacity] of the capability, I’m gonna use this much [on a larger capacity].”

The UFC CEO explained the intricacies of the Sphere and how it caters to a wide range of audiences with its multilingual features. There are a lot more things that the venue has to offer that haven’t been explored yet. “You’re sitting here, right? And you’re watching the show in English. He’s sitting in that seat, he can watch it in Spanish, [or] French. The speakers are aimed directly at the seats. There are so many things that you can do,” the 54-year-old added. White also disclosed the real reason why he chose to plan the Sphere event only during Mexican Independence Day.
