UFC fight fans might actually just get a fight between the former UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington, and UFC welterweight prospect, Ian Garry. The two have been going back and forth for quite some time with the two going personal on their ongoing beef.

However, now the fight might take place sooner than anyone expects as “The Future” took to his social media posting a video to lay out breaking news for fight fans. Here is what Ian Machado said in the video.

Ian Garry’s claims to have accepted a fight against Colby Covington

Ian Garry posted a video on his Instagram account trying to trap the former UFC champ into accepting the fight against him. Garry relayed the message quite cleverly, making it seem like Covington was the one trying to duck the fight.

In the video posted by Ian Garry on his Instagram account, He stated, “What’s up everyone? It’s Tuesday, the ninth of April, at 10 past one, and I just want to let everyone know I have agreed to fight with Colby Covington. There is a date in place. Colby still hasn’t signed the contract.”

The young Irishman seems quite impatient to fight the former UFC interim champ. And it’s not surprising given how the American had attacked Garry’s wife in the past.

Covington creates chaos at the UFC 296 press conference by going after Garry’s Wife

During the press conference of UFC 296, Colby Covington took some shots at UFC welterweight prospect, Ian Garry despite the Irishman not being in attendance. Covington’s comments at the press conference seem to have been what triggered it.

During the press conference, Covington said, “I was going to teach him a lesson, you know, just like I taught Leon a lesson. You don’t cross the boss, he tried to cross the boss and call the shots, and he couldn’t do it. The same lesson I’m gonna teach to Ian, you don’t make a h** a housewife.”
