In addition to that, the fans also praised Khabib Nurmagomedov’s form while delivering that boxing strike on the pad. They claimed that he was in shape and should consider coming out of retirement.

“In shape khabib.”

“Habib bro you are on form”

“Legend, come back.”

Some fans praised Khabib Nurmagomedov for setting a great example both in and outside of the cage. In addition to that, one fan ideated that ‘The Eagle’ should consider a comeback to fight for the welterweight title, something that his protégé Islam Makhachev is planning to do.

“Khabib Legend in and out the cage.”

“Come back and take that 170 belt.”

Regardless of the cries from the people for a comeback, Khabib Nurmagomedov has already mentioned that there was no way he would ever fight again since he wanted to give his time to his family. According to a recent revelation, the Hall of Famer even went on to reject a hefty sum from the UFC to fight again.

‘The Eagle’ rejected $40 million for a UFC comeback

Almost a month ago, Khabib’s former teammate and fellow Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier revealed that the Dagestan native was fixated on never coming back to fight again following the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. The UFC was even willing to pay him a whopping $40 million, but that still did not impress the former lightweight champion. Cormier stated, “Khabib Nurmagomedov turned down 40 million dollars. That dude said $40 million to come back.”

However, there is no information on what the $40 million was about. Was it for one single fight or more than one fight? That was never revealed. Nevertheless, Daniel Cormier was stunned to learn that he had turned down such a big paycheck. “I don’t know how many fights he was meaning. I don’t know what he meant. But he just said, ‘I turned away $40 million brother. I am done,'” the former double champion added.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is now 35 years old. This is the age when most fighters reach the height of their peak or start entering the twilight stages of their careers. However, as far as the statements Nurmagomedov made earlier about never fighting again, it does not seem that a comeback is in ‘The Eagle’s mind. However, we can always expect the unexpected in the sport of mixed martial arts.
