In a recent YouTube video Sonnen said: “Khamzat Chimaev needs to come out and say what he wants. He needs to make it crystal clear. Now I do not give Chimaev advice and you know want to know why I haven’t given him advice. I thought he had it all figured out. Khamzat Chimaev is the media darling. There is only three in the history of our sport. Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey and Khamzat Chimaev. Conor McGregor still milking that one. Still squeezing the juice. Ronda Rousey never understood that she had it. She marked out for her own gimmick and thought it was real. I’m not teasing her but this is what happened. Khamzat Chimaev appears to be more in the Ronda bucket of not knowing and understanding this isn’t real just because they’re saying it.
