Undefeated Irish wrecking machine, Ian Garry, extended his win streak to a perfect 15-0 after dominating Michael Page at UFC 303. He silenced the doubters with a convincing unanimous decision, proving he’s a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division. After accomplishing this mission, Garry doesn’t want to stop and is now focusing on his future aim to reach the top of the welterweight division.

More than anything, the 26-year-old wants to go toe-to-toe against undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov. Garry revealed this after the post-fight press conference. In response, Rakhmonov clapped back, reminding Garry of their training days through social media.

Shavkat Rakhmonov responds to Ian Garry’s revelation of training sessions

A judoka himself, Ian Garry’s fight against Michael Page, showcased his wrestling skills, a testament to his hours of practice with the Chute Box team now paying off. His persistent effort to overpower Page earned him victory by decision. Meanwhile, after the fight, Garry expressed his desires in front of the media. “I am going to have a chat with Hunter and Dana later on to figure out what’s next,” Ian Garry said.

There are big names and some cool matchups. You know, there’s Shavkat, 18-0, undefeated. I’d love hands on him. I have trained with him, and I have nothing but respect for that guy, but I want to be the first to take his zero,” he concluded. Furthermore, Garry emphasized, referring to his defeat of Michael Page, that he just beat the fastest guy in the welterweight division, so he can beat Shavkat Rakhmonov.

This statement from Ian Garry caught the attention of Shavkat Rakhmonov, who replied to ‘The Future’ via X. He wrote, “Looks like Ian Forget what happened during those training sessions. I don’t mind reminding him in the future,” indicating that Ian Garry’s experiences with Shavkat Rakhmonov were not quite pleasant.

Last year, rumors suggested that there was a video of Rakhmonov knocking out Ian Garry during their training at Kill Cliff FC in 2021.

Did Shavkat Rakhmonov knockout Ian Garry at Kill Cliff?

Ian Garry used to be part of Kill Cliff FC long ago, a recognizable gym in combat sports training that hosts notable UFC athletes like Kamaru Usman, Shavkat Rakhmonov, Michael Chandler, and rising middleweight contender Brenden Allen. In an interview with ESPN last year, Brenden Allen revealed that there was footage of Ian Garry being knocked out in one of the sessions. Though Allen refused to name the fighter who defeated Garry, many believe that it was Rakhmonov.

[Ian Garry] records everything right? They record everything, but just know there’s video. And [Garry] knows what name not to say to let it come out of what happened to him. Just know that there is someone in [Kill Cliff FC] that has slept [Garry] Out,” Allen claimed in the interview.

However, there is currently no proof of whether that’s a lie or true; it’s still a topic of discussion within the gym, Kill Cliff. Meanwhile, what are your thoughts on this fight card? Let us know in the comments.
