UFC Perth is around the corner as fans are gearing up for a high-stakes light heavyweight headliner between Dominick Reyes and Carlos Ulberg. Both fighters will be heading into the fight with winning streaks, but besides that, Dana White and Co. have added other exciting matchups on the card as well. This Fight Night marks the second event that the UFC will be holding in the land Down Under.

It’s an international event, so there will be a void on the broadcast team, especially on the commentary desk. There is no Joe Rogan because he hates travelling abroad. But guess what? Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier will be missing from the booth as well. Instead, there will be a new trio of commentators this weekend, so let’s check that out.

UFC Perth’s commentary team won’t have Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik

Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier, and Joe Rogan are the most popular commentary trio in the sport of MMA today. And while Joe Rogan tends to skip international events, we often have either Anik or Cormier taking the reins and leading the team. But this time, they won’t be there, and instead, the UFC has decided to put former WEC/UFC champion Dominick Cruz on the commentary desk, but, of course, he won’t be alone.

Joining ‘The Dominator’ will be a former lightweight fighter, Paul Felder, who has led many events as a commentator. For the third one on the team, Dana White and Co. have decided to add Brendan Fitzgerald into the mix, who’ll be the play-by-play commentator. That’s the commentary team for you. Meanwhile, McKenzie Pavacich will act as the roving backstage reporter and will conduct interviews and provide updates as the show goes on.

Of course, Robert Whittaker is not going to be alone on the analyst panel. Veteran broadcaster Dan Hellie and Paul Felder, who’s going to engage in double-duty, as he’s also commentating on the fights, will join ‘The Reaper’ on the desk. Other than that, the role of the veteran ring announcer will be donned by Joe Martinez, as we wait to see how UFC Perth pans out this weekend.
