In 2016, Zuffa LLC and the Fertitta brothers sold UFC to its current owner WME-IMG for a whopping $4 billion. However, White stayed in the promotion. But there were a lot of speculations about Zuffa’s boxing promotions, as White, who is close to them, was seen wearing t-shirts of the same.
However, the idea never came to fruition. And it might also not be an option for the future as recently Dana White has doubled down on not dipping his hands in the ‘Broken’ boxing business.

“Dive into this nightmare. And you know, that’s why I haven’t really done anything. It’s a broken business that is an absolute nightmare to try to fix,” White concluded.
The UFC kingpin made one of the biggest crossovers in the combat sport possible with Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather‘s boxing match in 2017. However, as of now, the UFC President is disinterested in making any such crossover even though there are big UFC names wanting to transition to boxing.
