Dana White is infamous for his role as the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. UFC is the largest MMA promotion organization in the world. With Dana spearheading the company, it has grown exponentially, raking in billions of dollars.

White has been heading the UFC since 2001. Besides this, he entered the boxing promotion scene by co-handling the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor fight. The 52-year-old also hosts the Dana White’s Contender Series to scout fighting talent for UFC.

In 2019, Dana announced his decision to extend his ‘president’ position contract for 7 years. From taking a small company to a billion-dollar enterprise, Dana has achieved many significant accomplishments in his life.

Recently, Variety included Dana‘s name in their list of 500 most influential business leaders in the media industry. Dana’s method of tackling Coronavirus caught the eye of the Variety editorial board. Besides him, Joe Rogan is also part of this prestigious list.

According to Variety,” Under the UFC’s contract with ESPN, the league was required to stage 42 fights in 2020, and White did his best to deliver, putting on UFC 249 in Florida in May and holding a series of fights in the league’s Las Vegas production facilities, all without an audience”

Dana White rebuilt UFC from the ground up

UFC president is quite vocal about the struggles and hardships he had to face before UFC took off. Dana had to reacquire multiple rights and deals to flip the 2 million dollar investment. He has shared turning around a barebones UFC that sold off many of its biggest assets to what it is now.
