One of the most intriguing aspects of the Welterweight division is the future of ‘Borz’ Khamzat Chimaev. However, Chimaev has been struggling to make weight at 170 pounds as evidenced by his last PPV fight at UFC 279.

Dana White has confirmed that Chimaev may not fight at 170 pounds again. White mentioned that when he said, “Khamzat is a middleweight”. Many fans would also agree that Chimaev is too big for the Welterweight division and his natural weight class would be higher than 170 pounds.
