UFC President Dana White’s Favorite Fighter Pokes Fun at Israel Adesanya but Quickly Back Pedals

Over the course of 2 decades, UFC has seen many exciting fighters, who deliver thunderous knockouts, beautiful submissions, and peerless kicks. Only a handful of names come to mind, who have excelled in all three departments and went on to become global superstars. Fighters like Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, Ronda Rousey, and Lyoto Machida have all showcased these traits. These names were once deemed not only fan-favorite but also UFC president Dana White’s favorite as well.

While White doesn’t really have an answer for who his favorite fighter is. But names like The Stylebender ‘Israel ‘Adesanya and ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ Kamaru Usman have been making serious headways. One more name has entered the contest in Michael Chandler, who famously dubbed himself White’s favorite fighter.

With a massive win over lightweight division veteran, Tony Ferguson, Chandler staked his name as a surging superstar.

He even shared a rather cheeky meme towards the middleweight champion, Adesanya.

The Stylebender doesn’t take these memes and internet attacks lightly and is most likely going to fire back. Chandler realizes it all too well and quickly came to his senses as he quickly put forward another tweet.

He took a step back and retracted his statement, suggesting that he doesn’t want any smoke with the champion. Chandler said,” First of all…any of y’all that think that was me slighting @stylebender to talk trash, y’all are killing me. I don’t want that smoke. At all. Ever. But you have to admit, the pic was funny…”

While Chandler is looking to make a jump to the 170 lbs division, Adesanya will continue his unbeaten run at middleweight. The Kiwi fighter has been at the top of the weight class for nearly 3 years and continues to run through top contenders. With 4 title defenses already in the record books, The Stylebender is looking to add another name to his resume.
