Marcin Tybura’s rise in UFC rankings puts Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall on alert

‘Tybur’ has had a mixed record in the UFC ever since he made his debut in 2016. However, he has lost only once in his last four fights and his recent submission win over Tai Tuivasa has helped make a significant jump in the rankings. The 38-year-old Polish MMA star jumped from the 10th position in the heavyweight rankings to the 8th position as Tuivasa dropped down from the 8th sport to the 10th spot after suffering a fourth consecutive loss.

While Marcin Tybura has not yet broken into the top 5, he is still fast climbing the ranks as Jon Jones and Ton Aspinall get alerted of his emergence as a credible contender. Given that a fight between ‘Bones’ and the interim champion may not take place anytime soon, there could be a chance that we see Tybura get the chance to fight Aspinall in the not-so-distant future. Apart from the change in ‘Tybur’s ranking, there were a few other fighters who saw changes in the rankings as well.
