Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, a rivalry that has spanned for years and through two separate sports. First, the pair clashed as kickboxers and once Adesanya made his transition to MMA, ‘Poatan’ came chasing like a lion hunting a gazelle. However, Adesanya was no helpless prey, he always gave Pereira a hard fight, even winning at UFC 287 to complete his revenge.

Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya 3?

Recently, Alex Pereira showed up at the UFC 297 press conference in Toronto, Canada. That’s where the next big pay-per-view is about to go down. So, where does Israel Adesanya come into the picture? Some reports claim that the New Zealander also happens to be in Canada at the moment.

And if both, ‘Izzy’ and Pereira are in the same city, what does it mean? A classic bout could all come together given the things that have been developing since Pereira moved to the light heavyweight division and won the belt. He was quick to callout his arch-rival after defeating Jiri Prochazka.

In return, Adesanya, who was and still is on a break, put up a fake poster of UFC 298. Here, he pitted himself against Alex Pereira for a light heavyweight bout. Of course, for the ‘Stylebender’ it was all a big joke. And while Pereira too is a prankster in his own right, both of them only deliver the most brutal of fights inside the Octagon.
