Joe Rogan is back with his latest #2128 episode of his famous JRE podcast. This time, his guest was the famous stand-up comedian and New York Times best-selling author, Joey Diaz. The three-hour-long podcast certainly kept its viewers engaged as the pair discussed varied topics, in typical JRE fashion. During the course of the conversation, the pair at one point even discussed the upcoming fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker.

Rogan has witnessed some of the best fighters from very close quarters and has a good understanding of the sport. However, even he seemed excited to witness two of the best fighters take on each other in Saudi Arabia. He also shared some words of advice for ‘Borz’. Let us find out what the JRE host had to say.

Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most lethal fighters in the middleweight division. However, the 29-year-old has been out of action for quite some time now. He will now be facing Robert Whittaker on his comeback, which, according to Rogan, will be a tough fight. ‘The Reaper’ is fresh off a victory against Paulo Costa at UFC 298 and will look to keep his winning momentum going. The JRE host, while speaking to his guest Joey Diaz, shared his concerns before the upcoming fight.

He said, “Bro Whittaker vs Khamzat is legit. That’s a real fight. That’s a real fight for Khamzat because Whittaker is a big dude. He’s a big, I mean, a solid beefy 185 former champion. That gave him Kamaru Usman and Kamaru didn’t have a chance to prepare for that. He had 10 days. You know that’s not enough time. Not enough time to get a guy like that to prepare for Khamzat. But at least we got a chance to see what Khamzat looks like against a world class world championship caliber fighter. So this is a big one. This is Robert Whittaker, with plenty of time to prepare. The guy who is just as legit as they get. Just beat Paulo Costa. You know that’s a good fight.”

The fans are super excited to witness one of the most entertaining fighters in the division take center stage. However, apart from Rogan, former UFC champion Michael Bisping also shared his opinion about the upcoming fight in Saudi Arabia.

Khamzat Chimaev will take on Robert Whittaker in Saudi Arabia on June 22 in a five-round fight. While the fans are excited for his return, Bisping, on the other hand, is a bit concerned. He recently took to his podcast to discuss the fight with Mike Harrington. While the former UFC champion seemed super excited for the clash, he did point out a major weakness in Chimaev’s game.

Whittaker is one of the most conditioned athletes in the division, and his endurance is second to none. Taking him on in a five-round fight will be a tough ask for ‘Borz’ who is making a comeback after suffering from sickness and injuries. The former middleweight champion on his podcast shared his concern.

While speaking to Harrington he said, “So the first five-round fight that he’s been in. Which automatically if you’re in the corner of Khamzat Chimaev you got to be concerned. One thing Robert Whittaker is not going to do is run out of gas. He’s very, very experienced fighting at the highest level for the long time. Without getting into the X’s and O’s, the obvious thing is Khamzat always gases.”
