Such a comprehensive background in amateur MMA means that Mokaev is certainly ready for the upper echelon of the UFC. In fact, he was so confident in his amateur experience that he turned down an opportunity to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series. Chiefly, this is a rather bold move on his part, but it seems to have paid off in the end.
Speaking on the rejection of a DWCS appearance, Muhammad Mokaev told MMA Junkie, “I believe this 100 percent: I don’t need to go through the Contender Series to let people know about me,”. “I deserve straight road to the UFC.”
The MMA community will certainly have their eye on this top prospect who seems to have the tools to become a future world champion.
