The DJ has been announced for the UFC 320 afterparty
UFC 320 is perhaps a big fight not only for Magomed Ankalaev, as it will be his first title defense, but also for Alex Pereira, who will have the chance to reclaim the title. The last fight was a bit lopsided, as the Dagestan native beat his Brazilian counterpart at his own game: striking. While fans are looking forward to that fight, they may also need to pay attention to the afterparty details because Dana White and Co. have spent a booking amount of around $15-25K for the DJ who’ll perform that night.
Yes, the UFC 320 afterparty will have DJ Crankdat, as per the announcement on the promotion’s Instagram stories, take the stage at the Resorts World Las Vegas. For those who may not be aware of this artist, Crankdat, real name Christian Smith, is a 28-year-old performer hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, who’s been in the music industry for over a decade. He had remixed songs of artists like Fetty Wap and even garnered attention from the likes of Skrillex and The Chainsmokers when Crankdat was barely out of his teenage years. So yes, fans can expect him to light it up at the afterparty.

UFC afterparties have given fans some memorable moments that they’ve come across on social media. Crankdat may not be the most recognized name for a DJ, but Dana White and Co. did invite some other top celebrity DJs to these parties, including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who once partied with Alexander Volkanovski.
Shaquille O’Neal once partied with Alexander Volkanovski
The two-time UFC featherweight champion put on a very dominant showing at UFC 290, and he had every right to celebrate his win over Yair Rodriguez. So what does he do? The afterparty after that PPV had Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, performing that night, and Alexander Volkanovski joined him on the podium. Clips from that party went viral on social media, as the champion revealed having met more famous personalities than just O’Neal.

“We obviously at the after party had Jamal Murray with us and Shaquille O’Neal’s DJing there. So we kept caught up with a heap of guys – Izzy [Adesanya] came back there,” Alexander Volkanovski stated on the MMA Hour. “I got to soak up that and be like, ‘How good is this?” It sure was one helluva night for the Australian UFC star, as we wait to see what the next afterparty has to offer.
Well, it will be interesting to see if Alex Pereira can party the same way Alexander Volkanovski did after UFC 290. He’s got a massive weight cut to go through at the moment, but give us your thoughts on how you see the rematch against Magomed Ankalaev in the comments section below.
