After losing his fight against Alexander Volkov and looking overweight during his weigh-ins, light heavyweight Alexander Romanov was subject to brutal trolling by fans. Most of it was on how he looked different, especially since he appeared to put on weight in his latest appearance. Continuing this trolling, another UFC fighter also joined in. Light heavyweight Zac Pauga joined in on the mocking as he made a hilarious comparison between Romanov and a female fighter.

Mocking Romanov’s physique, the 35-year-old joked that if women’s UFC strawweight Mackenzie Dern had to wear a sports bra, even the heavyweight should be asked to wear one. This drew hilarious reactions from fans in the comment section of the post. Yet a majority of them also came out in support of Romanov.

Pauga originally made the tweet after the fight between Romanov and Volkov went down a couple of days back. Showing off his humorous take on the Moldovan’s physique, he wrote, “If Mackenzie Dern has a wear a sports bra in the octagon then Romanov should definitely have to wear on as well. #UFCLasVegas #Equality”

Now this exact tweet posted by MMA page ‘Brawl Season’ on Instagram had fans rolling in laughter. And considering that debate over equality has been a rage amongst the Gen Z kids, Pauga’s hilarious timing was impeccable.

Amongst the comments was Pauga’s own reaction to his tweet as well. He wrote: “I can get behind all coverage being optional.””

The majority of the people found the original joke to be hilarious.

“I was amazed at the level on clinical obesity in this fight. Worse seeing it up close…””

“Whats this MW doing in HW?

“And my most hated mma fighter award goes to”.

“Zac must be mad he got knocked out by a guy with breasts”.

“I thought he looked heavy”.

Although one fan also defended Romanov.

“Oh man they’re gonna kick this dude while he’s down? That’s cold.

Alexander Romanov loses to Alexander Volkov last weekend at UFC fight night

Volkov needed less than three minutes to finish the 14th-ranked heavyweight at the co-main event of UFC Las vegas.

After showing some serious takedown defense abilities, Volkov hurt Romanov with a series of strikes that eventually saw the official step in, bringing an end to the fight.

With this loss, Romanov has to get back to the drawing board and chalk up a solid plan. And maybe a few months down the line, we can see him confidently step back into the cage again.
