Since then, the undefeated welterweight has been left without an opponent, leading to his prolonged inactivity. Unfortunately, this absence has made him a target for severe taunts.

During his time away from the octagon, ‘Borz’ has called out numerous fighters and expressed his frustration over the lack of materialization for a fight. One intriguing possibility that has been discussed is a potential matchup between Chimaev and the former welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, due to their recent verbal sparring. However, despite the speculations gaining traction, nothing official has been confirmed yet.

Amidst all the uncertainties, the length of Chimaev’s absence has prompted a fellow UFC welterweight star to chime in with a stinging remark involving the Swedish fighter’s mother.

A news portal took to Twitter to highlight the fact that it has been a staggering 290 days since Khamzat Chimaev’s last appearance in the octagon. Noticing this news, Joaquin Buckley decided to respond, delivering a scathing remark.

‘New Mansa’ wrote, “Cause his momma raised a b*tch 😂💯🙅🏿.”

Despite the prolonged period of inactivity, the undefeated Swedish fighter recently offered a promising update on the matchup against Kamaru Usman, indicating that his hiatus might finally come to an end.

Chimaev vs. Usman is at 90% finalization

Khamzat Chimaev recently discussed the possibility of a fight against Kamaru Usman. He mentioned that he and his team are training in Stockholm but had a training camp in Dubai and will head to Abu Dhabi a month before the fight. ‘Borz’ expressed confidence, stating there’s a 90 percent chance it could be Usman as his next opponent.

“It could be Usman, 90%. But he’s talking about two kilos, he doesn’t want to gain two kilos. Dana White talks about 82 kilos[181lbs]. We’ll see. There was no other match, just him.”, said the 29-year-old.
