Conor McGregor, the former UFC two-division champion, got called out by a fellow UFC star for a slugfest. However, the latter added that he first needs to deal with ongoing felonies before he could see the Irishman inside the UFC cage.
The fighter is none other than the former two-time welterweight title challenger, Jorge Masvidal. ‘Gamebred’ is coming off a loss against his arch-rival Colby Covington. Following that fight, the Floridian allegedly attacked ‘Chaos’ outside a restaurant in Miami.

Subsequently, he is facing charges for the same. However, the 37-year-old in a recent interview talked about his potential return. Although Masvidal has a few names on his plate for his next fight, he believes a clash with ‘The Notorious’ makes the most sense.
“The one that makes the most sense is that little b**** Conor. I wouldn’t mind getting a fat paycheck for beating that midget’s a*s up. I don’t know if it’s going to happen,” Masvidal said in an interview with MMA Fighting.
Further on, while talking about a potential timeline of his return, ‘Gamebred’ revealed he has some legal issues to deal with. After that, he will return to fighting. “I’ve got to heal myself up, and also, not to be a Debbie Downer, but I do have some legal issues I’ve got to take care of and address, then I’ll get right back on the murder scene. I’ve got three felonies they’re charging me with. So I need to handle this. Then it’s back to breaking faces,” Masvidal added.
Does Conor McGregor vs. Jorge Masvidal make sense?
Yes, McGregor and Masvidal are two of the biggest star in the promotion. Hence, this fight makes sense and will serve as a delightful treat for the fans. Given their star status, the company will also benefit from the pay-per-view buys.
Looking at the technical aspects, ‘The Notorious’ has recovered completely from an injury he faced last year. He is back to training and has hinted at a return. However, he hasn’t specified a name for his next fight.
