

Howler Head Whiskey, which is the UFC’s official flavored whiskey, hosted a meet and greet. It included big names in the UFC game like Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Yair Rodriguez, Cody Garbrandt, and Marvin Vettori. It happened in Las Vegas and each of these fighters had a specific time for their appearance.

Interestingly, the athletes were not the only famous people in attendance. Retired UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fan Nelly Gonzalez, who is also known as ‘Grandma Khabib’, was also in present. Polish fighter Jedrzejczyk posted a beautiful picture with her on Instagram.

Gonzalez is a staple in the MMA community and on social media, she describes herself as “Khabib Fan Número Uno”. She shot to fame because of her picture with ‘The Eagle‘. Over the years, she has met several other UFC fighters like Islam Makhachev, Israel Adesanya, Nick Diaz, and many more. So after meeting Jedrzejczyk, she has yet another feather in her hat.

The 16-4-0 record holder has not fought since her last fight against Zhang Weili in 2020. Jedrzejczyk lost the fight via a split decision.

After defeating Carla Esparza at UFC 185, Jedrzejczyk went on to defend her strawweight title five times. However, Rose Namajunas defeated her a became the new champion. Thus, the Polish fighter also experienced the loss for the first time in her professional MMA career.

So with Zhang and Namajunas in her way, it would be interesting to see her fight them again. After a long hiatus, fans are excited to see her step back into the octagon. Do you think she will become the strawweight champion once again?
