The 21-13 fighter made a comeback and clashed against one of the best welterweight fighters, Leon Edwards, at UFC 263. In what was the UFC’s first non-main-event and non-title five rounds bout, ‘Rocky’ defeated Diaz via decision.

However, the Stockton slugger claimed he would return to action soon and has been preparing for his next fight ever since. Recently, he was spotted training with Marvin Vettori.

Diaz posted a picture with Vettori inside the gym and wrote, “Wit the bro @marvinvettori.” Although the Stockton native is preparing for his next fight, he hasn’t received an official booking. However, Diaz has a name that he can clash with next.

Following a defeat in his second attempt to earn the lightweight gold, ‘The Diamond’ has been going back and forth with the fan-favorite Diaz.

Both the men have agreed to clash inside the UFC cage and are waiting for the UFC to make this fight official. In an interview with ESPN, White expressed his interest in seeing this bout.

He said, “Of course we’re interested. I mean, this is what we do. We make fights every weekend. What happens is guys just want to jump out of nowhere and say, I want to do this, I want to do that.”

“We have fights booked all the way up until May 2 right now. Everything is in place, everything is done, so obviously, Nate Diaz will get a fight. I say this all the time. I’ve been saying it for 20 years: we are contracted to fight guys three times a year. They’ve got to get fights. He’ll get a fight.”

Dustin Poirier vs Nate Diaz is an interesting fight to make and will surely garner a lot of attention from the fight fans.
