The current champion said, “Well everybody’s aware at this point of my leg kicks. Everybody thinks that I am going to go with that. Be throwing back leg kicks and forth. I was able to set him up. I stay on a longer range. So I was able to set myself up. You guys saw that I missed some kicks. But I knew what I was going to get to the moment. The referee tried to stop the fight but I know I was getting close getting with the hands. “

Pereira silenced everyone with his performance at UFC 300. Before he entered the Octagon, many believed Hill had the potential to defeat him. However, the Brazilian showed his power and striking ability and walked out of the Octagon as a champion. Alex Pereira shows his interest in fighting Magomed Ankalaev next

Magomed Ankalaev is one of the most consistent performers in the light heavyweight division. He is unbeaten in his last 10 fights, which pushes his case for a title shot next. The 31-year-old took the opportunity to call out Pereira after his fight at UFC 284. It now seems that the Russian has got what he wanted. After his win at UFC 300 ‘Poatan’ has shown his interest in taking on Ankalaev next. A recent post by MMA Orbit on X shared the details of the next fight.

The post reads as, “Alex Pereira says he’s not interested in re matching Jiri Prochazka next, but would do so if the UFC want it. He named Magomed Ankalaev as someone he’d like to face instead. His ideal return date would be #UFC 301 in three weeks but understands that’s unlikely.” Pereira also mentioned that he would be interested in making a move to the heavyweight division. With UFC 301 just around the corner, fans will hope to see the Brazilian in action there as well. Will Alex Pereira feature at UFC 301 next? Let us know in the comments below.
