UFC Fight Night: Font vs Garbrandt is all set to take place on May 22, 2021. The fight between Rob Font and Cody Garbrandt will headline the event. Apart from that, fights like Yan Xiaonan vs. Carla Esparza and Justin Tafa vs. Jared Vanderaa are also scheduled to happen at the UFC Vegas 27 event.

On Friday, May 21, the UFC Fight Night 188 fighter weigh-ins took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Garbrandt and Font both successfully made the weight. While Font is ready to make his main event debut with a weight of 136 pounds, Garbrandt came in at 135.5 pounds.

Apart from Garbrandt and Font, 24 other fighters also weighed in, with just one miss. The co-main event fighters Xiaonan and Esparza also successfully made weight with both coming in at 116 pounds.

Except for Juancamilo Ronderos, all the fighters scheduled to fight at the event made weight comfortably. Ronderos was chosen as a replacement for Raulian Paiva against David Dvorak. However, the fight will go as scheduled, although Ronderos will be fined 20% of his purse.

The UFC Vegas 27 event has some incredible fights lined up for us and it is sure to be an interesting event. The most anticipated fight between Font and Garbrandt is especially one to look out for.

Font, who is coming into the fight on the back of three successive victories, would love to continue his momentum. While ‘No Love’ won his last fight against Raphael Assuncao after suffering three consecutive defeats. This fight will be interesting as both the fighters would love to win and move towards a potential title opportunity.
