A light-heavyweight clash between Jimmy Crute and Jamahal Hill will be an interesting one. Both fighters are ranked inside the top 15, and coming off a loss in their previous fights. This is a fight of contrasting styles and is sure to be a banger.

Jimmy Crute started his professional MMA career in 2016 and immediately made his mark. He went on a seven-fight win streak before being called up for the Dana White’s Contender Series. He put up an impressive performance and won the fight via TKO. However, after winning his first two fights on the UFC, he dropped his third and is currently 2-2 in his last four fights. ‘The Brute’ is still just 25 years and one of the best talents in the division.

Jamahal Hill is a brilliant talent as well and has proven his value in a brief span of time. Having debuted in MMA in 2017, he went 5-0 before being selected for the Dana White’s Contender Series. He went undefeated in his first four fights in the UFC and beat a veteran in Ovince Saint Preux. However, he lost his last fight against Paul Craig via TKO at UFC 263. Hill is an out-and-out striker and will look to push Crute back early and control the center of the octagon.

UFC Vegas 44: Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill

Jimmy Crute is a threat on the ground and while standing up. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and can hold his own when it comes to striking. ‘The Brute’ has five wins via T/KO and four wins via submission in his career and will cause stylistic problems for his opponent. He strikes with an accuracy of 57 percent and lands 4.26 significant strikes per minute. He mixes his offense well and will be confident going into the fight.

It’s safe to say that Hill will not look for takedowns. He is a striker first and four out of his eight wins have come via knockout. ‘Sweet Dreams’ throws a lot of strikes, and with great accuracy. He lands 7.50 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy of 52 percent. However, a takedown defense of just 57 percent can be his downfall. Hill will have a five-inch reach advantage over Crute and would want to use that to gain the advantage.

It will be an interesting matchup, but Crute just seems to have more tricks up his sleeve.
