Former UFC fighter Jake Shields is known for being a staunch right-winger and a conservative by MMA fans. The Cesar Gracie BJJ black belt was also in the news recently for getting into a scuffle with Mike Jackson at the UFC Performance Institute. Shields had confronted him when they met each other. The 44-year-old is very active on Twitter where he consistently bashes everyone on the far left of the political spectrum. In one such tweet, Shields was seen exposing a twitch streamer by the name of ‘Jessica’.

Jake Shields exposes influencer’s hypocrisy on Twitter

The particular tweet/video that seemed to have enraged Jake Shields was posted by the girl on Jan 20th. The video, with almost 2 million views, shows her claiming to be uncomfortable while working out in a public gym. The logic behind her claim was that there was a man staring at her as she worked out. As ridiculous as it sounds, it seemed something she felt was true, as she even called the unknown man a ‘feral’.

Although it is possible for her to be creeped out by the man in the video, her protest that she was getting sexualized and that she hated it was what made netizens on Twitter and Shields call her out. While retweeting her tweet, the former UFC title contender shared an image of her Onlyfans subscription advertisement. He followed it with the caption “Great marketing for your onlyfans”.

Other users also did not hold themselves back from calling out to her out. While she repeatedly wrote in her responses that she hated being sexualized, going as far as even to say that she hadn’t dated for a year owing to that reason, it made no sense to social media users.

Apart from Shields, there were also a few other personalities who came out in defense of the man in the video. Some people felt the individual was planning on helping her with her weights.

Influencers, Joey Swoll and Kendra Lust were quick to react as well.

“Women are harassed in gyms and it needs to stop, but you are not one of them. An act of kindness or a glance does not make you a victim.” tweeted Joey pointing out the victimhood that the streamer was portraying.

Kendra Lust also shared similar views in a response to JoeySwoll’s tweet : “Agree!  Being kind now a days is taken wrong by many young girls in the gym .. maybe its because of social media.  I know from exp. There are creeps at the gym but lets not make every guy feel that way when its just being nice.”

Jake Shield’s recent run-ins with other personalities

Shields in his own right has been quite a controversial figure himself. His latest incident involving former fighter and MMA journalist Mike Jackson made quite a splash among media outlets.
