Alex Pereira will fight in a rematch against Israel Adesanya as his first title defense at UFC 287. He appeared on the media day last evening to talk about his fight as his mentor Glover Teixeira pulled a surprise prank on the middleweight champion during the event. The UFC legend took to Instagram and shared a video clip from that instance as fan shared their reactions.

‘Poatan’ is on a roll with his current run of form since debuting in the UFC in 2021. He is currently on a 4-fight winning streak and won the middleweight title within just over a year of his promotional debut.

The middleweight champion was getting some makeup done as he prepared to appear in front of reporters on the UFC 287 media scrum. His mentor and UFC legend Glover Teixeira slowly came up to him while Alex Pereira’s eyes were closed. Teixeira borrowed the stippling brush from the stylist and started putting some of his own touches with the brush on ‘Poatan’s face.

While applying the makeup, someone pointed out that Teixeira missed a spot. The UFC legend startled Pereira as he slowly opened his eyes. Both of them shared a laugh after the light-hearted prank.
