Sean Brady was in action this past week at UFC Fight Night 198. The undefeated fighter went up against an always dangerous and game, Michael Chiesa. Brady dominated the first two rounds of the fight and landed some amazing takedowns on an elite grappler like Chiesa. He won the fight via unanimous decision and maintained his unbeaten run.

The American fighter is 15-0 in his career and 5-0 in the UFC. With the win against Chiesa, who was ranked number 6 before the fight, Brady has entered the Top 10 of the welterweight division. He is ranked number 8 now, one above his last opponent.

Brady is quickly becoming a title contender, but there is more work to be done. A win against someone in the top 5 will definitely guarantee him a title fight. After getting a comfortable win against ‘Maverick,’ Brady already has potential opponents in mind.

Who’s next for Sean Brady?

The win against Chiesa is the biggest in Brady’s career yet. He was 14-0 but didn’t have a big win to his name. A win like this should work as a stepping stone to push him to the next level. At the post-fight press conference after his last fight, Brady was asked if he had anybody in his mind for his next fight.

He said, “I think the winner of Belal and ‘Wonderboy’ would be fun. I don’t know what they’re both ranked, but I know they’re in the top 10. I know the rankings come out on Tuesday. I’m sure I’m going to land somewhere in the top 10. Then yeah, we can go from there.”

However, there is one welterweight who wants a piece of Brady. Khamzat Chimaev, who recently broke into the top 10, but dropped out after Brady got in want to fight him. Chimaev is known to call out anyone and everyone on the roster. He recently took to Twitter to call out the latest member of the top 10, Sean Brady. He wrote, “I want to fight this guy let’s fight bro.”
