Burns and Chimaev’s UFC 273 fight witnessed a stunning three-round brawl. Because of how close the fight was, many fans would love to see them clash once again for five rounds.
Chimaev was seen as an extremely dominant fighter in his previous fights. However, during his fight against Burns, the Russian-born fighter wasn’t able to assert the same level of dominance.

Before fighting Burns, ‘Borz’ stood at rank 11 in the division. As a result of his win, he has climbed up to the third rank; quite close to Colby Covington, who occupies the first rank. Thus, a fight between them would be very exciting considering the fact that Covington is a celebrated welterweight and Chimaev is the hottest prospect in the division.
In addition to this, UFC President Dana White even compared the Swedish fighter’s rise to that of Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey. If the Covington versus Chimaev fight takes place in the near future, it would surely be a huge one.
