UFC’s Parent Company Suffers a Major Financial Blow After Dana White’s Recent Controversy

Dana White has established his name all over combat sports history. The business mogul has helped UFC establish itself as one of the most popular MMA promotions around the world. Some might even say he put MMA on the map. However, the UFC President has made the news owing to a recent controversy. 2023 didn’t begin on a good note for the UFC Boss. A viral video showed UFC President Dana White having an altercation with his wife, Anne Stella White. This viral video has transpired into a major loss for UFC and White. UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, has reportedly taken a hit due to the incident.

Dana White: Endeavor’s stock takes a hit after the shocking video

UFC’s parent company has taken a major hit in its stock after Dana White’s video went viral over the internet. As of Tuesday noon, Endeavor’s shares were down by 5% to reach a value of $21.53. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 had fallen by less than 1%.

These statistics are reported by Forbes on their Instagram account. The business numbers are not looking good for White at the start of the year. Moreover, the UFC President added in a ‘TMZ’ interview that the altercation was ‘fueled’ by having ‘too much alcohol’.

Furthermore, White also said in the interview that he is “embarrassed” by his actions. After the video went viral, UFC President and his wife Anne Stella White have come out and apologized for their actions.

However, this isn’t the first time Endeavor’s stocks have taken a hit due to the UFC.

Endeavor’s stock value declines months after Jake Paul buys stock in UFC’s parent company

Jake Paul invested in EDR (UFC) stock on January 25, 2022. The valuation of a share after Paul bought the stock rose from $28.51 to #30.27 in just three days. However, the valuation dropped after a few months to just $20 in May 2022. The stock reached a high valuation at end of 2021 and the start of 2022 at around $34.

Endeavor’s stock also took a major hit when their CFO spoke about the fighter’s pay. The CFO compared UFC fighters’ pay to those of athletes in the NFL and NBA.
