It was primarily because of Sean Strickland handing an upset loss to Israel Adesanya to claim the middleweight title. After the end of the episode, Rogan shared a picture of him and his guests together on Instagram.

He also mentioned that he loves spending time with his fellow comedians: Brendan Schaub, Sam Tripoli, and Bryan Callen. Moreover, Joe Rogan also had the producer of his show with his guests in the picture. He said, “Fight Companion was a blast! Always good to get to hang out with my brothers [Brendan Schaub], [Sam Tripoli], [Bryan Callen], and the producer GOAT [Jamie Vernon].”

Additionally, Joe Rogan also congratulated Sean Strickland on his monumental victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. Rogan praised his performance while mentioning how big of an upset it was. “Congrats to [Sean Strickland] for one of the greatest upsets ever and a spectacular performance!”
