Conor McGregor has changed how MMA was viewed in his home country. Young fighters from Ireland are looking up to the biggest PPV draw and one of the richest athletes in the world. Likewise, young Irish prospect Ian Garry wants to follow in McGregor’s footsteps.

‘The Future’, since making his debut, has been touted as the Conor McGregor 2.0. Subsequently, he wants to lead another Irish takeover in the UFC.

Thus far in the UFC, the welterweight fighter has shown potential to be a star. Consequently, he has received the blessing of the UFC, who are leaving no stones unturned in promoting the fighter.

After the impressive debut earlier, Garry has picked up another win at UFC 273 against a game Darian Weeks. Garry edged the fight and won via unanimous decision. Thus, improving his undefeated record to an impressive 9-0.

In the post-fight interview, the media member asked Garry about venues or cards where he would like to compete.

Garry said, “International fight week in Vegas sounds good to me. Obviously, then you have an opportunity, whenever Conor McGregor comes back; Whenever that inevitable return is going to happen. I’m on that card, that’s not, there’s no way on earth I’m missing out on that opportunity.”
