Although the Ireland native, Ian Garry has bagged two straight wins after his debut in the UFC, he has been getting a bit of a backlash from the UFC fans lately.

‘The Future’ fighting out of Ireland is a big fan of the former two-division champion and fellow countrymen Conor McGregor. Not only that, Garry has even stated that McGregor inspired him to pursue a career in MMA. Hence, he never forgets to mention ‘The Notorious’ in his interviews.

However, many UFC fans were not pleased with ‘The Future’, always mentioning Conor McGregor in his interviews. But one fan took it too far in calling out the young UFC welterweight prospect.

A fan-made an unpleasant meme on the welterweight fighter. Consequently, Ian Garry’s wife, Layla Machado Garry, took to her official Twitter account and addressed the user.

She wrote, “Throughout the joy, the hard work and the blessings and love we get, we are also faced with some really vile hate. I want you to know that I find it really hard to deal with messages like the below. Pls don’t ever message anyone anything like the that. It is so hurtful, so damaging.”

However, apart from the UFC fans, the former two-weight champion Henry Cejudo has also been calling out the welterweight fighter Garry for mentioning McGregor in his interviews.
