Dana White and the UFC increased their ‘Performance’ and ‘Fight’ bonuses from $50,000 to $300,000 for UFC 300, which was more than some fighters’ purses. This, of course, motivated and incentivized fighters to give their all on the historic anniversary mega-card. Among the fighters who gave it their all on UFC 300 was UFC lightweight veteran Bobby Green.

The former professional tells Green that Dana White gave him a ‘private’ bonus after the victory

Bobby Green defeated fellow veteran Jim Miller in their UFC 300 prelim bout on Saturday via a unanimous decision. ‘King’ spoke about his victory and its aftermath to Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson on the ‘JAXXON PODCAST’ and told him he had received an ‘undisclosed’ bonus from the UC boss after his victory. On being asked by the co-host if Green was one of the fighters who had received undisclosed bonuses for UFC 300, the 37-year-old agreed and said “Yeah.” However, before he could say anything else, he was interrupted by ‘Rampage’, who told Green to not talk about it further.

The former light heavyweight champion revealed that he had also received a secret bonus from Dana White after his spectacular UFC 71 first-round victory over Chuck Liddell. However, ‘Rampage’ went on to talk about this bonus to the media, which made White upset and led to him not getting any other ‘private’ bonuses from the UFC boss.

“Don’t talk about that. The one time Dana gave me a bonus, I talked about it [and] he never gave me another one. He gave me a private bonus when I fought Chuck [Lidell] that was bigger than my purse. And I was, you know, I was giving him props for doing it, and then he never gave me another. I talked to him years [later] I said ‘Dana did I f**k up talking about the bonus that you gave me?’ He said ‘yeah,'” Quinton Jackson revealed.

While Green certainly impressed with his UFC 300 performance, ‘King’ is looking to fight one of the most notorious fighters in the promotion next.

Bobby Green looking to fight Paddy Pimblett in England next

Bobby Green mauled Jim Miller over their three-round contest at UFC 300. While the latter was able to make it to the final bell, the California native dominated the fight, walking away with a unanimous decision victory. After his one-sided win, the 37-year-old called out Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett for a bout at International Fight Week in July in the latter’s home turf of the UK.

“Paddy [Pimblett], you slimy, sugary little snake. How dare you say my name? I’m coming after you. July, I’m coming to your backyard, to your people to kick your ass,” he told Joe Rogan in the post-fight octagon interview. Pimblett and Green have been feuding since the last year after Pimblett called out Green as a possible future opponent.
