A few days back, the post of Conor McGregor‘s car accident took the internet by storm. His fans all over the world were concerned about the health of the star. It was McGregor who informed about his car accident through his social media handle. At first, the Irishman shared a picture of him, where his injuries were clearly visible. Later, McGregor detailed the entire incident. All his fans and fellow fighters showered the star with prayers and concerns. However, for some MMA fighters, the incident is quite unbelievable even after McGregor uploaded a live video and every single detail through his Instagram.

Did Conor McGregor really get hit by a car?

The MMA fighters are none other than Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren, who were suspicious about the reality of McGregor‘s car accident. Cormier interviewed Askren on his YouTube channel. It was then that DC asked a question about Jorge Masvidal‘s upcoming fight with Gilbert Burns. However, Askren thinks that the aim of Masvidal was to square off against the Irishman. Both of them have been away from the octagon for a while. The entire UFC community is waiting for the return of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, whose last bout was in 2021.

According to Askren, ‘Gamebred’s fight against McGregor will be a great comeback for himself. Nonetheless, post-accident, what McGregor would decide for his comeback is still not clear. Even though the accident shook many, it was quite funny for Cormier and Askren.

In his YouTube channel, DC said, “He got hit by a car the other day. You saw that.” To which Askren replied, “I didn’t think it was that bad, a little bit, got a few scratches.” In a very funny yet confused way, Cormier asked, “He got hit! Did he really get hit?” and the reply of ‘Funky’ was “that’s what that’s what it looked like“. Both the former US Olympians broke into laughter after the conversation.

The future ventures of ‘The Notorious’

We cannot predict how the fans will take the former UFC fighter’s joke, considering the current scenario where they are eagerly waiting for his comeback. Before the bike accident, McGregor was sharing updates about his new ventures. The fans of the former double division champ can only hope that ‘The Notorious’ would return to the octagon this year.

Although, there is no official confirmation regarding the same. The fans were yet very excited to see McGregor coming back in The Ultimate Fighter in the role of a coach. The UFC community strongly believes that their favorite fighter will commit to all the new ventures despite the accident.
