UFC has seen many reigns of terror as champions across various divisions have showcased unmatched domination. Numerous weight classes in the promotion are witnessing a similar reign, as champions like Israel Adesanya, Kamaru Usman, and Valentina Shevchenko are ruling their divisions with an iron fist. Certainly, none of these fighters had an easy route to championship status in the promotion. While ‘Bullet’ suffered few losses in the promotion, Usman is still on an unbeaten 14-fight win streak in UFC.
He recently took to Instagram to show off the insane resume of fighters that he has managed to best. The list includes names like Jorge Masvidal, Sean Strickland, Rafael dos Anjos, Colby Covington, Leon Edwards, Tyron Woodley, and Gilbert Burns.

Out of all the fighters that ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ (20-1-0) has beaten, only Strickland hopped on the thread to pay his respect.
Sean Strickland credited Kamaru Usman for a lesson in MMA wrestling
Strickland shared his honest thoughts about his fight against the welterweight champion and how it taught him a valuable lesson in MMA wrestling. He commented, “Usman is a killer. He earned it, but at the end of the day without that hard lesson, I doubt I’d be ranked today… I had no idea what MMA wrestling was till that fight lol. Hard lesson learned. Very hard lol.”

Usman is currently recuperating from a hand injury that he sustained last year. This has kept him out of the sport for the major part of 2022, but a recent video suggests he is ready to make a return.
Who will Kamaru Usman face next?
As far as ranking is concerned, Leon Edwards (19-3-0) has earned his shot at the title. ‘Rocky‘ has embarked on a lengthy seven-year undefeated run since his last defeat to ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ in 2015.

His lone challenge is the 170 lbs kingpin and the duo will most likely clash in the latter part of the year. The champion may have returned to training, but he is still not in his best shape yet. This could prolong Edwards’ title shot and might compel UFC to book an interim fight in Usman’s absence.
