South African MMA star Dricus du Plessis has made quite an impact in the UFC. He has beaten many highly-rated fighters in the middleweight division, including a former champion on his way to UFC 297. Is Dricus du Plessis married or in a relationship?

Dricus du Plessis often refrains from sharing too many details about his personal life, especially his romantic affairs. Nevertheless, many fans know that the South African fighter is not married yet. Rumors were swirling about him possibly dating someone after he shared a picture with a woman on social media and wished people a happy Valentine’s Day a few years ago. Thanks to the UFC Embedded series, we now know his current partner’s name is Vasti Spiller.

According to her Instagram account which has 26k followers, Spiller is a boxing coach at CIT Boxing Studio in South Africa. Moreover, she also owns a photography business by the name of Baruch Photography. She is the ambassador of B Loved Foundation- a philanthropic organization dedicated to providing food to those in need. Now while du Plessis does not post about his love life, Spiller occasionally posts romantic pictures with the fighter.

On 14th January, it was du Plessis’ birthday and Spiller shared a reel of their best moments together. “Happy 30th birthday my Dric! It’s the greatest privilege to love your heart,” she wrote (Translated by Google). She also loves the farm and animals as she is regularly seen posting about them.

Further, Spiller had entered the 2022 Miss South Africa pageant but couldn’t make the cut to win the crown.

Spiller published a book titled ‘The Art of Loving’ when she was 24 years old. All funds collected from the book’s sales went to the B Loved Regain Program which people that have been trafficked.

The book has been designed to help young children to overcome trauma and the unimaginable atrocities they have been through. As reported by ‘Just A Mama’, the book has been penned from Vasti’s own life experiences and the values her mother taught her. “I wrote this so that children could understand that there isn’t one person out there that is perfect, but there is something like a perfect love that heals,” Spiller said at her book launch. As per information available, all her ventures are based in South Africa.

Her parents are Ester Spiller Coetzee and Chris Coetzee. She has two brothers and a sister.

Coming back to du Plessis’ love life, a rumor surrounding his dating life started back in 2022. A woman named Nastassja Ras shared a picture with Dricus du Plessis on Facebook during Valentine’s Day. This post garnered the attention of many people as they believed that the couple may be in a relationship. However, there is no confirmation regarding this. But his next fight is confirmed!

The 29-year-old South African won six fights in a row since joining Dana White‘s $12.1 billion worth promotion. After defeating middleweight contenders like Brad Tavares, former UFC fighter Derek Brunson and former champion Robert Whittaker, Dricus du Plessis got the chance to fight Israel Adesanya for the title in 2023. However, he could not take the fight for the proposed date owing to an injury, and the opportunity was given to Sean Strickland, who handed an upset defeat to ‘The Last Stylebender’ at UFC 293.

Nevertheless, Dricus du Plessis is now healthy and will get his title shot as promised by Dana White. He will take on Sean Strickland at the first pay-per-view of 2023, UFC 297. Things are already heating up between the two fighters. Du Plessis and Strickland had a fiery back-and-forth at the 2024 seasonal press conference and even brawled while in the crowd at UFC 296.

Further, Dricus du Plessis recently underwent surgery on his nose, which saw an improvement in his respiratory system. He claimed to be in a much better position with his cardio after his breathing issues got sorted and thereafter, registered a win at UFC 290. It remains to be seen how that affects du Plessis’ performance against Sean Strickland when UFC 297 finally arrives.
