It is not an easy task to keep your career in pristine condition and keep the fans entertained at the same time. It takes a truly special individual to satisfy both goals and UFC has only seen a handful of people do it.

In certain times, fan-favorite fighters find themselves delivering entertaining fights at the cost of recording few losses. This same problem has pushed fan-favorite fighter and veteran fighter, Sam Alvey, to record an 8 fight losing streak.

The 35-year-old fighter knows it very well that a massive losing streak like this will not bear good results. Alvey hasn’t won a fight in over 5 years and his victory came at the backs of a split decision against Gian Villante at UFC Fight Night 131 in 2018.

Sam Alvey has nothing but good things to say about UFC

The smiling fan-favorite fighter fears being cut from the roster as his record-breaking losing spree continues. Speaking with Full Mount MMA interview, he stated that he will have no ill will against the promotion, should they decide to cut him.

He said, ” I am on a slump, I mean there is no hiding it. I can decorate it like and think ‘I won four out of my last five’ at the end of the day. I am on a slump and haven’t won in too long. And I hate that I haven’t won in so long and it is easy to come up with excuses, but there are no excuses, I haven’t won.”

“So if UFC cuts me, there will be no ill will, no ill feelings coming from my end. I love what that organization has done for me and more than me what it has brought to the world. I mean it has opened up a new level of athleticism that was not even possible for athletes, I mean for wrestlers or jujitsuers, strikers prior to the UFC. So if they decide to part ways with me, I can’t blame them, I am going to continue fighting, I am gonna go out and get back into that win column somewhere else.”
