UFC welterweight Vicente Luque is gearing up for the biggest fight of the UFC run thus far at UFC 260. ‘The Silent Assassin’ has drawn former welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, as his dance partner for the cards co-main event. Woodley is coming off a three-fight skid, and Luque is looking to add to Tyron Woodley’s woes with a breakout win.

However, Vicente Luque has already proven himself as a major threat and he’s faced many high-level combatants. Although Woodley would be the biggest scalp on his resume, Luque has several marquee names etched on his resume. Let’s look at one of those statement wins that came over a recent main eventer in Belal Muhammad.

UFC 205: Vicente Luque vs Belal Muhammad

The aforementioned fight was a meaningful addition to Luque’s career due to the manner in which secured the win. The heavy-handed Brazilian earned a first-round KO win and remains the only man to cleanly KO Muhammad to this day. Given the success Muhammad has enjoyed as of late, this feat is extremely impressive.

Belal Muhammad has 21 fights under his belt, a majority of which have come against elite UFC competition. The win encapsulates the extent of Vicente Luque’s power and is a testament to his promise as an elite welterweight.

Belal Muhammad couldn’t keep up with Vicente Luque’s pace and ended up being defensively irresponsible in the pocket.
