Former interim UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington recently took to Instagram to take another shot at his former opponent and current champion, Kamaru Usman.
Covington and Usman previously fought at UFC 245. It was Usman’s first defense of his title. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ managed to earn a finish in the fifth round of the contest after a back-and-forth fight.
Covington has been vocal for a rematch ever since. And his antics of taking shots at Usman have never stopped. In the recent video, Covington trolled the champion yet again.

‘Chaos’ happens to call Usman by the moniker of CEO of EPO. He alleges that the champion abused banned substances. He did it one more time, adding to the growing count.
Covington is expected to face Usman next in what will be a rematch between the duo. He has earned a finish over former champion, Tyron Woodley in his last fight.
Usman, on the other hand, is coming off a spectacular knockout win against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. The first fight between Usman and Covington was touted to be one of the best title fights in UFC history.
Therefore, it is understandable why the promotion wants to match the two fighters again. Also, Covington believes officials ruined his chances of winning during the first fight and he would have had a better chance of winning otherwise.
No official date for the fight has been announced yet. However, it is expected that both fighters will collide before the end of this year. What timeline the UFC chooses to proceed with, remains to be seen.
