Despite being out of the octagon, the former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor is always in the headlines. The Irishman is a prominent name in combat sports and has made a fortune out of his fighting career.

However, ‘The Notorious’ is out of the octagon ever since he faced a gruesome leg injury in one of the biggest trilogy fights of the year. During his time off, he is recovering from the injury and also enjoying many big events outside of the UFC.

Recently, the former champion went fishing in Miami. He took to social media to share a few photos with his fans. He wrote in the caption, “Caught a shark from my back garden today in Miami.”

We can see ‘Notorious’ holding a large shark in his hand. However, many fans were concerned about the shark’s safety and flooded his comments with the same. Later in response, McGregor posted a video of himself tossing the shark back into the water and shared a message for his fans.

He wrote, ” Back in you go, my little ocean critter. Protect the ocean. Fish responsibly.” McGregor is fond of fishing and often spends his time fishing on his luxurious yacht. However, he also urged people to protect the ocean and marine life.

Will Conor McGregor return to the Octagon Soon

The 22-6 record holder Conor McGregor fought twice this year. He faced a devastating loss against Dustin Poirier in a rematch at UFC 257. Following the loss, the score between Poirier and McGregor was 1-1. Therefore, for a clear result, both the lightweight fighters clashed inside the octagon for a trilogy fight in the same year.

However, the Irishman suffered a horrific injury in the trilogy fight, which gave him his second setback in 2021. Now the UFC star is focusing on his recovery and rehabilitation. ‘Notorious’ seems to be recovering surprisingly fast and has started walking.

Given his recovery, it might be safe to say that the former champion will make his comeback in the second half of 2022. However, it will still excite his fans to see who he fights next in his comeback.
