‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor makes his much-anticipated return to the octagon this weekend at UFC 257 against Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier.

McGregor has arrived at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi with his family ahead of the fabled lightweight scrap. McGregor, a father of 2, is preparing to welcome his 3rd child to the family later this year. For now, though, he is focused on Poirier and is indulging in media obligations.

He shared a beautiful parent moment with his son while signing autographs for fans. McGregor, with his son, signed posters together.

It was truly comforting to see the Irishman displaying his endearing side. He often gets discredited for his antics, but this was a true measure of his character.

McGregor Jr. is also learning trades from his father. He has already started training with McGregor in the gym. Needless to say, he could never have asked for a better mentor.

Being a father has changed the former 2-division champion in a big way. Previously his brash and cocky pre-fight antics have taken a turn into a rather respectful approach. He is much more measured in attacking his opponents outside the octagon now.

Overall, it has been a welcome change.

Conor McGregor will look to make a mark at UFC 257

It is evident that McGregor has championship aspirations. But he will have a tough challenge ahead of him this weekend in the form of Poirier.

McGregor knocked the American Top Team member out within 2 minutes in 2014. But they have both evolved since that fight at UFC 178.

McGregor has promised to build on his previous performance in this fight. But he also indicated that he is ready if the fight goes longer. And considering his complete skillset, it’s fair to say he will be very comfortable irrespective of how the fight plays out.
