Taking to Instagram, McGregor shared a story about his time at the UFC 205 weigh-ins when he spoke to Joe Rogan. The UFC commentator quizzed him about the marvelous fight card and what he thought about the match-up.-

”I am here with Conor McGregor, ladies, and gentlemen. Conor, this is not just a historic event, but it is a historic opportunity. You have the opportunity to be the first champion ever to hold two titles simultaneously if you win. Give us your thoughts about this fight?”

McGregor responded, “It’s just another day for me. I do this every week. Tomorrow, man, I am ready to go in and do my thing for my fans, and that’s it. I do this every week. Ireland, stand up. We are about to do it again.”

Right until that moment, McGregor carried an aura of invincibility that was only marred by Nate Diaz. The duo fought on two separate occasions (UFC 196, and UFC 202), with both men walking away with a win.
