Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and footballing star Cristiano Ronaldo faced off when Khabib was in England.

Khabib was in Old Trafford to watch Manchester United play Everton in the Premier League. He also got a Manchester United jersey with his name and his friend Cristiano’s famous number 7 at the back.

After watching Manchester United’s match and visiting Anfield to watch Liverpool vs. Manchester City, Nurmagomedov met his good friend, Cristiano Ronaldo. Khabib and Ronaldo, in a traditional combat sport manner, faced off against each other.

Khabib, after the two met, in an Instagram post said, “He is a best ever, keep doing your things Champ, you inspire millions of people around the World.”

Nurmagomedov and Ronaldo, according to many, are the greatest in their respective sports. Both men have very impressive resumes to back that claim. Nurmagomedov finished his career undefeated, with a professional record of 29-0. He went up against some of the toughest fighters in the world and dominated most of them. Known for his grappling and wrestling, Khabib beat Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, and many others.

On the other hand, Cristiano has a massive trophy cabinet to show what his career has been like. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been at some of the biggest clubs in the world and has always been the marquee player.

Both men have always shared a good bond. Nurmagomedov had posted a video a long time back on his Instagram, showing both superstars exchanging gifts.

Khabib, in an interview with RT, also mentioned that Ronaldo had told him about his move from Juventus to Manchester United a month before the deal took place.

Khabib said, “A month ago, he told me that he was moving to Manchester United. I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the transition was not a surprise.”
