VIDEO: Derrick Lewis Has a Teary and Hilarious Encounter With Hot Wings

Derrick Lewis is one of the most vicious fighters in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Over the course of an impressive professional fighting career, ‘The Black Beast’ has given a hard time to many fighters on the heavyweight roster.

However, he faced a tough time in a challenge away from the octagon. The 36-year-old heavyweight fighter was left with teary eyes and a sweaty face.

Lewis appeared on the latest episode of a famous show ‘First We Feast’ on YouTube. The series is hosted by Sean Evans. As Lewis loves chicken wings, he was invited to the show.

‘The Black Beast’ took the ‘Hot Ones’ challenge. He had to eat the chicken wings with some of the hottest sauces and answer a few questions. While eating the spicy wings, Lewis talked about his career, his favorite knockout, and much more on the episode.

It was a hilarious moment for the heavyweight fighter, as he had a hard time with his favorite food. However, ‘The Black Beast’ didn’t have a hard time laddering up the heavyweight division of the promotion.

Derrick Lewis: Journey in the UFC

Derrick Lewis is one of the most prominent names in the promotion. He was on a six-fight unbeaten streak when he made his UFC debut with a stunning knockout win in the very first round.

The 25-8 record holder is the knockout king of the heavyweight division with twenty wins via knockout under his name. The American fighter was 7-2 in the promotion from 2015 to 2017.

Lewis, who progressed through the division quickly, was on an amazing three-fight win streak when he got his first title shot against Daniel Cormier. However, he lost the fight. This didn’t stop the heavyweight from moving up the division.

Following a rough phase in two fights in 2019, the 36-year-old won four fights in a row to earn another title shot. At UFC 265, he lost a UFC interim heavyweight title bout against Ciryl Gane. However, he will now take on Chris Daukaus in his next fight in December.
