Surging bantamweight contender Marlon Vera appeared on a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and talked about his life and career. The Ecuadorian fighter has an interesting backstory, and he has begun making waves in the UFC. Chiefly, Joe Rogan often brings on fighters to share their story so that fans are exposed to them in a different way.

One such way fans got to know a fun-loving side of ‘Chito’ Vera was when he described his experiences getting tattooed. Marlon Vera is one of the most inked fighters on the roster and Joe Rogan has some well-designed sleeve pieces as well. Marlon Vera talked about the pain he experienced while getting tattooed and also shared a hilarious story.

“The arms are easy, you feel it but you’re not crying. There were points, were my arm was shaking without me moving it. I crack heads with elbows but the little ink, it will make you pay… Some parts in the thigh, where the sun don’t go.”

Marlon Vera shares a rather up close and personal tale

Vera talked about his leg tattoo and detailed an awkward sitting he had to endure when his tattoo artists got up close and personal. Joe Rogan derived much amusement from Vera’s harrowing tale, and it was clear he found the story extremely amusing.

“You know what’s funny about my leg tattoo. When this guy was tattooing my inner thigh. He was pushing my bal*s aside so he could ink. He was pushing them away. You know what’s the crazy part, cause I normally get tattooed after my fights cause that’s my rest time and I was just thinking, this is painful, this is awkward.”

“I was just thinking what’s worse, the guy pushing my di*k away or the pain right there because it was so painful that I was like ‘I’m hurting’.”
