There is no doubt that Kamaru Usman deserves to be the UFC welterweight champion. His dominant wins speak tons about his skills as an MMA fighter. His wins over Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal are some of his most-talked-about fights. The fighter has lost just one bout in his professional MMA career.
Further, he is also a proud father to daughter Samirah Usman.
His daughter was born in 2014, and like her father, she has an active lifestyle. The young child has already started her Jiu-Jitsu training and even likes gymnastics.

Some of the best fighters start their training at a very young age. So, with Usman’s daughter acquiring her skills at a very young age, she could surely go a long way in the future as a combat sports athlete. Further, having a champion father to guide her would surely work in her favor.
However, only time will tell whether the champion’s daughter is interested in following her father’s footsteps.
What’s next for Kamaru Usman?
Usman won the welterweight title at UFC 235 after defeating Tyron Woodley. After that, he has defended his title five times against some of the best fighters in the division. Out of those five fights, he won three through T/KO.
It looks like Leon Edwards could next fight Usman. The British fighter is on a nine-fight win streak and surely deserves to compete for the title. He and Usman first fought back in 2015. Unfortunately, ‘Rocky’ lost that fight through a unanimous decision. So it would be a great opportunity for him to redeem his previous loss.
