VIDEO: Late Stoppage by Referee Herb Dean as Trevin Jones Goes to Sleep While Still Standing on His Feet at UFC Fight Night

The UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs Gastelum event was always touted to be an interesting one. However, after the prelims, the event quickly transformed into one of the best MMA events of the year. There were a plethora of great fights that took place at the event. One such fight was the bantamweight bout between Trevin Jones and Saidyokub Kakhramonov.

Everyone expected this fight to be one of the most exciting bouts of the night, as Jones was coming in on the back of 3 consecutive victories. Meanwhile, Kakhramonov, who was making his UFC debut, had an MMA record of (8-2).

Despite taking the fight on short notice, Kakhramonov performed admirably. Both Jones and Kakhramonov gave it their all and looked a bit fatigued towards the end of the fight. However, the former CFFC bantamweight champion powered through and wrapped up a devastating standing guillotine choke to get the win against Jones.

This victory showed everyone that Kakhramonov has immense talent and can do very well in the UFC. The fighter had also latched on to a guillotine in the first round, however, that time Jones escaped. Jones even got some momentum on his side as he ended the second round on top. In the end, however, Kakhramonov got the better of ‘5 star’ and won the fight.

Saidyokub Kakhramonov believes he can take the champion out in 8 weeks

Kakhramonov was ecstatic after winning the fight and seemed very confident. During the post-fight interview, the fighter showed great belief as he talked about fighting the UFC champion.

When asked about how he felt after getting his first win inside the Octagon, Kakhramonov said that this victory seems normal, and given 8 weeks’ time, he can defeat even the UFC titlist. Hence, Kakhramonov clearly believes that he has the talent to become a great UFC fighter and champion.
