A video from UFC 257 in 2021 shows the two contenders greeting each other backstage with a smile on their faces. In the event, the former interim champion Dustin Poirier defeated the former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor, via a T/Ko in the second round.

It was a much-anticipated rematch. Meanwhile, on the same UFC 257 card, the former Bellator champion Michael Chandler made his UFC debut. He defeated Dan Hooker in the first round of the fight via a finish.

Later, all three men met each other backstage coincidently. In the video, we can see the Poirier and Chandler playing around. ‘Iron’ hugged the Louisiana native and congratulated him on his big win. In response, Dustin Poirier said, “Hey, you too man, you put away a tough guy.”

Following, the former two-weight champion, McGregor, also arrived at the scene with his team. He is seen with a walking stick in the video as his calf was injured during the fight by Poirier’s leg kicks. However, ‘The Notorious’ greeted ‘The Diamond and left the scene.

What is the beef between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler?

‘Iron’ bagged one of the biggest wins of his career at UFC 274. Later in his octagon interview, he called out top-rated lightweight fighters, including Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, and Charles Oliveira.

However, Chandler missed the number two ranked fighter, Poirier. While talking about the same Poirier in an interview claimed that he was a hard hitter and this might be the reason Chandler didn’t call him out.

However, Poirier’s words didn’t sit well with the former Bellator champion. He uploaded a video on Twitter calling the Louisiana native a ‘wannabe’ and also accused him of stealing his shine.
