UFC fans are as vocal as they come and Brian Ortega noticed it when they claimed that he was afraid to fight Diego Lopes. It’s a surprising take given that the man has fought some of the top contenders, even former champions, in the featherweight division. But that criticism from fans gave ‘T-City’ a chance to prove them wrong, and as such, he accepted the fight against Lopes, who’s been on a stunning winning streak lately.

That’s kind of like what I was feeling and then you hear obviously, you know, the internet go be the internet so that was king of bothering me a little bit. Cause they [fans] thought that I coward out so I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to have to make peace with the idea that people think,'” Brian Ortega stated during the recent media day.
