MMA pundits have surely been cut and dry with their analytics in recent times. Their approach indeed has no frills when it comes to delving into a fighter’s past. With a similar methodology, UFC legend Brendan Schaub expresses his notions through his podcasts and YouTube videos. Whether he’s analyzing fighters’ strengths or predicting upcoming bouts, he delivers his thoughts with flair.
Schaub once again found himself going into the specifics of future UFC 291 fights and fervently sharing his insightful analysis on his YouTube channel. However, the situation took an intriguing twist when he received a query about comparing Tony Ferguson to a lightweight legend.

Schaub’s Take on B. J. Penn and Tony Ferguson
While bringing his analysis to The Schaub Show, he got a question that had a comparison between lightweight star Tony Ferguson and UFC legend B. J. Penn as a subject matter. But this time, the question had an interesting element, concentrating on the tumble of the two. The question went like, “What is a bigger fall from grace: Tony Ferguson or B. J. Penn?”
Schaub addressed that, and he then gave an explanation. He said, “B. J. Penn I think. Tony was never like a legit champ, he was an interim champ. BJ Penn I mean Mount Rushmore. He is a legend ( for Penn). I only remember with that. I don’t think of him running for governor, trying to get NASCAR to Hawaii. I dont know that stuff. Just a legend. He is a coolest dude runs Hawaii.”
What the former UFC heavyweight feels about Penn’s deterioration is clear from the video. He added that Penn is a legend and a cool man. He supported his claims by outlining a couple of Penn’s previously observed happenings. On the other hand, Schaub had only a few things to say for Ferguson, considering he was an interim champion in the past. While with his upcoming match against Bobby Green at UFC 291 is in the cards, ‘El Cucuy’ will surely be a head turner for the fans.
Tony Ferguson vs Bobby Green is on the horizon
The former interim champion is currently in the limbo of his fighting career. At UFC 291, he will duke it out against Bobby Green. This fight will be the co-main event on the line-up, with Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje for the BMF title serving as the main event.

Since the results of his last two fights were not what he had hoped for, Ferguson would undoubtedly want to make a comeback. ‘The Boogeyman’ is set to return after a long wait, as he wants to conquer Bobby Green.
